SCAN EIGHT. RELEASE THE VOLLEY. BREAK THE SYSTEM.
Enter a rogue network as SIGNAL. Scan up to eight targets in a single sweep, release synchronized attacks, deploy weaponized viruses, install permanent upgrades, and destroy the defenses controlling the system.

BRUTE FORCE PROTOCOL
Touch and drag to fill the Scan Buffer. Eight scanned targets is the maximum 8× score multiplier. Unlimited can scan past eight, but the multiplier still stops at 8×. Release to fire a synchronized volley.
SYSTEM MODULES
The Scan Buffer holds eight targets. A full scan releases a synchronized volley at the maximum 8× score multiplier.
Build power to evolve SIGNAL through five increasingly powerful forms. Taking damage can force SIGNAL to devolve.
Collect and deploy Pulse, Unlimited, and Trace Worm. Trace Worm is a virus. TRACE AI is a separate player that can play the game.
Spend recovered Bytes on permanent upgrades. Each upgrade costs a flat 2 KB.
Decrypt ten evolving subsystems before confronting each frequency’s central defense.
Destroy defensive systems, expose vulnerable yellow cores, and attack before the defenses reconstruct themselves.
Play the campaign in Normal or Chill. Normal campaign score resets at the start of each Frequency. Score Attack and Boss Attack keep a continuous score across the run.
Designed for landscape play on Android phones and tablets, with mouse and controller support where available.
NETWORK MAP
Each Frequency contains ten subsystems. Scan hostile programs, break encrypted gates, collect Bytes, install upgrades, and defeat the boss controlling that Frequency. The full Frequency progression and final encounter are in the game.
Environments and threats become more advanced as SIGNAL pushes deeper into the system. An unknown frequency may exist beyond the documented network.
AUTONOMOUS PROCESS
WATCH THE SYSTEM FIGHT ITSELF
TRACE is an autonomous combat AI that can play VECTOR//8 using the same battlefield information available to the player. It is not an auto-fire mode, and it is not the Trace Worm virus.
TRACE scans enemies, intercepts incoming fire, collects power-ups, deploys viruses, attacks bosses, and changes what it scans as combat gets more intense. It uses the normal scan-and-release loop and decides what to scan and when to release.
TRACE unlocks one Frequency at a time, and only after you finish that Frequency yourself. Finish Frequency 01 and TRACE can play Frequency 01. Finish Frequency 02 and TRACE can play Frequency 02. The same rule continues for later Frequencies.
On the free version, finishing Frequency 01 also lets you watch TRACE play Frequency 01. TRACE cannot play a Frequency you have not completed, and a TRACE clear does not count as your clear.
PAYLOAD BAY
An autonomous firing virus that attacks available targets for a limited duration.
Temporarily removes the eight-target Scan Buffer limit. Extra scans are allowed. The score multiplier still caps at 8×.
A virus, separate from TRACE AI. Up to three Trace Worms can be active at once. Each has its own duration and firing position, and they split targets so they do not waste shots unless a target needs more than one hit.
Recover Bytes during a Frequency and spend them between Frequencies. Every upgrade costs a flat 2 KB.
