Build the World
Campaigns, story nodes, locations, maps, NPCs, items, monsters and encounters all connect together.
Tabletop RPG platform — in development
PLAY TABLETOP LIKE A TACTICAL RPG.
Build campaigns, create maps, manage monsters and run sessions from one app. Players see an interactive tactical view while the Game Master controls the world behind the screen.
First tap previews. Second tap commits. Cyan cells are legal movement. Gold is the preview position. Hidden cells stay hidden from players.
Game Master is a cross-platform tabletop RPG platform built around tactical play and complete GM control. It handles the bookkeeping so the group can concentrate on playing.
The GM builds the campaign, prepares maps and encounters, controls hidden information and makes final rulings. Players interact with the world through a tactical interface that shows movement, weapon ranges, spells and available actions — without taking control away from the GM.
Fantasy is the first ruleset. The architecture is built so additional RPG systems can be added later. Players will not need physical maps, dice or cameras. Online play from anywhere is the long-term product; local sessions work in the current development build.
Campaigns, story nodes, locations, maps, NPCs, items, monsters and encounters all connect together.
Players preview movement, ranges and targets directly on the board before committing.
The rules engine assists the GM. It never outranks the GM.
First tap previews. Second tap commits.
Press Move. Legal movement cells highlight. Tap a destination once and a preview — a ghost of the character — appears there. Weapon and spell ranges recalculate from that position. Line of sight and valid targets update. Try another square if you want. Tap the selected position again to confirm.
Buttons for what the game understands. GM rulings for everything else.
Lists every usable weapon in inventory. No videogame-style equip step.
Opens the character’s spellbook and shows valid targeting from the current or previewed cell.
Shows usable inventory — potions, tools, keys — without leaving the board.
Highlights nearby searchable objects the character can actually reach.
Doors, chests, stairs and other structured map objects.
Write any action the software did not anticipate. The GM reviews it.
Interface previews of the current development build. Captured screenshots will replace these frames as they are added.
Players see the board, legal actions and only the information their character should have.
Test a destination and see weapon and spell ranges before committing.
The GM sees hidden creatures, full logs and override tools the players never get.
Paint a grid like a game level. Walls, tiles and objects are real data, not a flat picture.
Create your own, start from a suggested build, or take a premade character.
Templates, custom creatures, variants, attacks, resistances and loot.
Attach fights to locations, place monsters, set waves, triggers and rewards.
Plan the investigation, connect rooms and roads, and keep each scene on its own map.
Automated rules are proposals, not absolute decisions. Game Master helps run the rules. It does not replace the person running the game.
A character reaches lethal HP? The app may say character would die. The GM still chooses what happens.

Other overrides already in the local session:
Author a world from a blank campaign, or start from a prepared adventure and make it yours. Nothing in the starter is locked.
Install a prepared adventure and customize it. The current built-in starter is The Ruins of Black Hollow — a level 1 investigation already stocked with maps, NPCs, monsters, encounters and premade characters.
Built into the current development build. Not a public download.
Map Maker is meant to be approachable — not professional CAD. Paint a grid, drop objects, and the session engine can use them.
Maps are not merely pictures. Objects exist as structured game entities, so a door can later be opened, locked or hidden. Background images can be imported and aligned to the grid.
Three ways in. Helpers stay on screen so a new player can finish a legal character without flipping pages.
Step-by-step choices with beginner explanations for every field.
“I want to sneak and scout.” Game Master can suggest Rogue-style builds without forcing the choice.
A complete character, ready to play. Customize it, or sit down immediately.
These are GM authoring tools. Players do not build the monster list or place the ambush unless the GM hands them that work.
A Location can be a tavern, a forest clearing, a dungeon chamber, a road, a castle courtyard, or an entire outdoor region. Characters occupy Locations.
Players in different Locations can eventually have different scenes, information, encounters and turn queues. Game Master is being designed so one group fighting in the crypt does not force a player searching the library to wait through every unrelated combat turn.
Full multi-device / online Locations — planned
Locations, maps and local session movement between them exist in the current development build. Shared remote tables are not available yet.
The GM can reveal information to everyone, one Location, one player, or GM only.
Example: the Rogue recognizes a thieves’ mark. The other players do not automatically see that information. Hidden monsters stay off the player board until the GM reveals them.
This already works in the local simulated-player architecture. Online delivery to remote devices is future work.
A small settlement is suffering disappearances. Travelers are vanishing on a nearby forest road, and strange activity surrounds abandoned ruins. The party investigates the village, follows clues into the woods, and descends to stop what is waking there.
Built into the current development build. Not publicly downloadable.
Release plan — not purchasable today
The planned model is simple: the GM buys the GM tools once. Players joining that GM’s campaigns play free.
Optional content may later include map packs, tile packs and adventure packs. A player should not need to purchase a map or adventure owned by the GM in order to play that campaign.
No public store listing and no prices yet.
Coming with online play
Planned online features for when remote sessions exist.
Game Master is in active development. There is no public download, store listing, account system or online multiplayer yet.
Built with Flutter so the client shares one codebase across devices. No release date is set.

Game Master is a Frozen Dungeon original. The long-term product is play from anywhere. The current build is the local foundation for that.
